Connecticut: Can car dealerships open on Sundays?
Sunday sales allowed
Connecticut allows Sunday car sales; its old Sunday business ban is still printed but was held unconstitutional by the state Supreme Court.
A general statute still printed in the Connecticut code bars most work and business on Sunday, with exceptions that don't include car dealers. The official code notes that the state Supreme Court held that ban unconstitutional, and the dealer licensing law has no Sunday rule. This answer is inferred from that ruling and the absence of a dealer rule.
What the law says
Proscription of business activities on Sunday held unconstitutional as violation of equal protection and due process. 177 C. 304.
