Arkansas: Do you need a front license plate?
Rear plate only
Arkansas issues one plate for passenger cars, and state law says a single plate goes on the rear.
Arkansas law says that when two plates are issued they go on the front and rear, and when one plate is issued it goes on the rear. Arkansas is understood to issue a single plate for ordinary passenger cars, so only a rear plate is required; that is inferred, because no official page opened says so. Trucks of one-ton capacity or larger may show the plate on the front or the rear.
What the law says
(a)(1) License plates issued for a motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall be attached thereto, one (1) in the front and the other in the rear. (2)(A) When one (1) plate is issued, it shall be attached to the rear.
