Florida: Do you need a front license plate?

Rear plate only

Florida issues one plate for passenger cars, and it goes on the rear.

The state issues one plate per vehicle unless the law requires two. Only heavy commercial trucks (26,001 pounds or more) need front and rear plates, and truck tractors use a front plate only. The plate must be mounted 12 to 60 inches off the ground and kept legible.
