South Carolina: Can car dealerships open on Sundays?
South Carolina bans Sunday car sales before 1:30 p.m., except in counties exempted by tourism revenue or local vote.
The state's blue law lists automobiles, trucks, and trailers among goods that may not be sold on Sunday, but the chapter does not apply after 1:30 p.m. It also does not apply in counties that collect more than $900,000 a year in accommodations tax, or where the county council or voters have suspended it. In the rest of the state, dealers may not sell cars on Sunday mornings.
