Florida: Is it legal to pump your own gas?
Self-serve allowed
Florida law expressly authorizes self-service gas stations, as long as an attendant is on duty to supervise.
Florida law authorizes self-service gas stations and requires at least one attendant on duty whenever the station is open, to supervise fueling. Full-service stations that sell cheaper self-service gas must have an employee pump it, on request, for drivers with qualifying disability permits or plates. Local governments may expand fueling help for people with disabilities.
