Idaho: Is it legal to pump your own gas?

Self-serve allowed

Idaho allows drivers to pump their own gas. State law refers directly to stations that sell only self-service fuel.

Idaho's weights and measures law refers to retail outlets that offer only self-service fuel. On request, those outlets must help a driver whose car displays a disability parking placard pump fuel. That rule does not apply if an able-bodied adult is in the car or only one attendant is on duty. Idaho has adopted the International Fire Code, which sets safety rules for self-service stations.

What the law says

Any retail outlet offering self-dispensed motor fuels only shall, upon request of the disabled driver, provide assistance in delivering fuel into the tank of a vehicle displaying an accessible parking license or card, but this requirement shall not apply when such vehicle carries an able-bodied adult or if only one (1) attendant is on duty at the retail outlet.
