Delaware: Does the state have a lottery?
Has a state lottery
Delaware runs a state lottery, operated by the State Lottery Office, whose net proceeds go to the General Fund.
Delaware set up its lottery in 1974, and the first game started in March 1975. The State Lottery Office is part of the Department of Finance, and by law net proceeds go to the state General Fund rather than to one dedicated cause. The lottery sells Powerball and Mega Millions.
