Minnesota: Do you need an ID to vote?
No ID document required
Minnesota voters who are already registered don't show ID. They sign the polling place roster.
A registered voter signs the roster, which includes a statement that they are eligible to vote. People who register at the polls on Election Day, or whose registration needs updating, must show proof of residence. That is a registration rule and outside this question. No voter ID measure is on Minnesota's November 2026 ballot.
What the law says
An individual seeking to vote shall sign a polling place roster or voter signature certificate
