Hawaii: Where can you buy liquor?

Private licensed stores

Hawaii licenses privately owned retail dealers to sell liquor in sealed packages; the state does not buy or sell spirits.

Hawaii liquor licenses are issued by each county's liquor commission, not by a state liquor agency. A retail dealer license of the 'general' kind covers all liquor, including spirits. Rules on hours and locations can differ from county to county.
