Oregon: Where can you buy liquor?
Private agency stores
Oregon's liquor commission is the only legal seller of spirits; privately run stores sell on its behalf at prices it sets.
State law gives the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission the exclusive right to buy, sell and import alcoholic beverages, except as the law provides otherwise. More than 280 independent liquor agents run the stores and sell distilled spirits on the commission's behalf. All spirits come from a central warehouse, and the commission fixes the prices.
What the law says
Except as provided in this chapter, the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission is vested with the exclusive right to purchase, sell, have in possession for sale, import or transport alcoholic beverages.
