Idaho: Are fireworks legal?
Idaho allows only nonaerial fireworks such as fountains, sparklers and ground spinners; aerial fireworks and firecrackers require a local event permit.
Idaho's legal consumer fireworks are 'nonaerial common fireworks,' which must stay within a 15-foot circle and below 20 feet, and the definition excludes firecrackers. They may be sold and used from June 23 to July 5 and from December 26 to January 1, and local authorities may extend each sales period by up to five days. Other fireworks may be used only under a permit from the local authority for a public display or other event. Local authorities can also bar use in areas with a severe fire threat.
