Pennsylvania: Does the state observe daylight saving time?
Observes DST
Pennsylvania observes daylight saving time and has not enacted a law to change it.
Pennsylvania follows the federal Uniform Time Act and changes its clocks each spring and fall. In 2025, bills to end daylight saving time, to adopt it year-round if Congress allows, and to switch to Atlantic time were all filed, and none became law.
What the law says
DST is not observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the state of Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Indian Reservation, which does observe DST).
