Arizona: Is it legal to pump your own gas?

Self-serve allowed

Arizona allows self-service gas; the State Fire Code adopts the model fire code's fuel-station rules, which permit self-service.

Arizona's State Fire Code incorporates the 2018 International Fire Code, as changed by Article 3 of the rules. None of the Article 3 changes deals with fuel stations or Chapter 23. The model chapter allows self-service with a trained attendant on duty, and unattended stations where approved. This is inferred from the adoption, because the model code text was not opened on an official site. Many Arizona cities and fire districts adopt their own, often newer, fire codes.
