Colorado: Is it legal to pump your own gas?

Self-serve allowed

Colorado has no ban on self-service gas; state rules require stations to follow the national fuel code that covers self-service.

Colorado's Division of Oil and Public Safety requires retail fuel dispensers to meet NFPA 30A, the national motor fuel code, which covers attended and unattended self-service. The state rules also separate attended stations, where an operator controls or monitors dispensing, from unattended cardlock sites. No Colorado law found bars drivers from pumping their own gas, so this answer is an inference from the adopted code. Some cities, such as Grand Junction, have their own self-service ordinances.
