Idaho: Is there an annual vehicle safety inspection?

No safety inspection

No. Idaho does not require safety inspections of private passenger cars, but cars titled in another state need a VIN inspection.

Idaho's vehicle title law requires a vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection when a car's current title was issued by another state. That check confirms the car's identity, not its brakes, lights or other equipment. No Idaho statute or agency page found requires a recurring or point-of-sale safety inspection for private cars.

Conditions
