New Hampshire: Where can you buy liquor?
Government-run stores
New Hampshire sells liquor through state-run Liquor & Wine Outlet stores operated by the New Hampshire Liquor Commission.
The Liquor Commission runs the state liquor stores, and all liquor sold in those stores, by agency stores, and by licensed bars and shops must come from the commission. The law also lets the commission license privately run agency liquor stores, but the state's own stores are the main retail channel.
What the law says
Except as provided in RSA 178:8, II and RSA 178:27, no liquor shall be sold in any state store, nor by any sales agent, nor by any person holding an on-premises or off-premises retail license under RSA 178, except that obtained from the commission.
