Missouri: Is it legal to pump your own gas?

Self-serve allowed

Missouri allows self-service gas, and state rules even cover unattended stations where customers fuel up with no attendant present.

Missouri Department of Agriculture rules set requirements for unattended self-service stations, where people other than the owner or an employee refuel without an attendant. These stations must post instructions and warnings, such as a sign telling users to stay outside the vehicle in view of the nozzle. Card- or key-activated pumps and an on-site phone or other way to call for help are also required.
