Nevada: Does the state have a lottery?
No state lottery
No. Nevada's constitution bans state lotteries; only charitable raffles may be authorized.
The Nevada Constitution says the state may not authorize a lottery or sell lottery tickets. The one exception lets the legislature allow charities and nonprofits to hold raffles or drawings for their own benefit. Nevada's casino gambling is separate from this ban. Nevada residents cannot buy Powerball or Mega Millions tickets in the state.
