Nebraska: Does the state observe daylight saving time?

Observes DST

Nebraska observes daylight saving time under state law and has not enacted a year-round time law.

Nebraska's statutes set standard time under the federal Uniform Time Act in both the Central and Mountain time zones, and they provide for daylight time each year. The listed April and October dates are outdated; the federal March and November dates apply. A 2021 bill for year-round daylight time, LB 283, was indefinitely postponed in 2022, and LB 34, a year-round daylight time bill that reached final reading in 2025, was indefinitely postponed in April 2026.
