Wyoming: Does the state observe daylight saving time?

Observes DST, law to go year-round

Wyoming observes daylight saving time and has a 2020 law to stay on it all year if Congress and three other western states act.

A 2020 law (House Bill 44, Session Laws chapter 134) puts Wyoming on mountain daylight time all year. It takes effect only after Congress allows year-round daylight saving time and at least four western states, counting Wyoming, pass similar laws. The listed western states are Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

Conditions

  • Congress must authorize year-round daylight saving time
  • At least four listed western states, including Wyoming, must pass year-round daylight saving time laws
